I like it, if I could afford to dress nice every day I probably would. I hate Tom Brady, but I would probably try to pull off his fashion sense.

Real Life People VS. Board Life People
by wanderlustguy ini have met quite a few folks from the forum, and between topics and posts about meeting so and so, and what is this person like, and the scandals, i felt kind of compelled to do a little mind dump on a topic about it and my experiences, and i hope no one thinks i didn't notice or remember them, these are just the most recent and those i am a bit closer to for one reason or another.
the last thing i would want to do is talk about someone when i don't know if they would mind or not...sorry if it happens here.. first, i had a person i respect a lot tell me she thought i was much more together in real life and was really suprised when she met me...that makes me wonder what kind of wreck i read like on here.
then it dawned on me, most of us post here as a release of things that aren't so great.

The fact is online you can either wear a mask or be completely naked. A lot of us I think show qualities we feel like doing in real life but can't get away with. It always reminds me of what Larry David said about Curb Your Enthusiasm, I am paraphrasing here, "I get to do things on here I would never do in real life, I would get my ass kick if I did the things I do on my show". I think younger people have a better grip on this as they have grown up with it and the line between online/real life is blurred some. Older ones though I think get a bit more freedom online. Just my two cents anyways. I am sure I look like a jerk on here, but I am only half a jerk outside of this message board.

People who would never have been born...if the WTBTS was right!
by gaiagirl ini watched several movies this week, and afterwards, i was thinking about how many performers in those movies would never have been born if armageddon had come in the fall of 1975 as advertised.
stardust featured clare danes and charlie cox, both born long since 1975. resident evil: extinction featured milla jovovitch, whose birthday is actually in december 1975, but it is likely that her parents would have already been dead by then, as they aren't witnesses.
anyone else have favorite people (actors or not) who would not have been born if 1975 had lived up to the big buildup?

I think I would have been thanking Jehovah that both those movies wouldn't have been produced!

Well it always annoys me that christians want to do the same thing JW's do which is take something that really has nothing to do with the main point of the NT which is love and try to force the Trinity or Hellfire in as some end all be all to believing. I think Jesus could care less if we believe or do not believe in these very minor things so long as we are above all else proving our love for everyone.

Ex-J.W = So my Mum says NOW she's anointed and going to heaven???
by Witness 007 inyes my mum is now anointed..she is partaking of the emblems and says she "has no reason to live in paradise if we won't be there.
" so in protest she has decided to "move".....to heaven as a "king and priest.
" it turns out jehovah has invited her so that leaves 143,999 positions to be filled.

As a priest and king couldn't she make you live in Paradise?

I think I just became an unbaptized bible study student apostate
by AddaGirl ini had some major questions regarding 607 bce which directly affect the doctrine of 1914. my teacher, admitting being weak on history, could not answer my questions.
i started researching and found that the appropriate dates for the "seventy years" were appearing to be 609 bce to 539 bce, the ruling period of babylon.
this meant that everything i was being taught based on 1914 was in effect, a lie.

I too would be extremely interested in your theory.

Will it really break anyones faith if they we're not one. What does it matter? Perhaps everyone is wrong and it is a relationship no human could understand. Has anyone ever given credit to that thought? Perhaps both JW's and you trinitarians are both wrong.

For these who believe in deregulation
by dawg inhttp://www.commondreams.org/archive/2008/01/14/6367/.
for all you reagan supporters and those that believe in ron paul's dogma or anyone that calls themself a libertarian.... this article's for you.
not only were we shackled with debt by all the republican administrations after nixon, but deregulation will be the core of this current crisis we are about to expierence.

While I am not a full on Ron Paul supporter, I do think anything would be better to try then the two party system which just does not work because of special interests. Let's remember it was Clinton and NAFTA combined with the republicans that really killed our economy and sent the majority of our industry to other countries. So who knows what might happen if Paul or a Libertarian did win? I just think it's worth a shot. Hell we gave Bush II two chances. I have to respect a guy who wants to deregulate silly drug laws.

Job conflicting situations
by JH inthere is a sister in my congregation that owns a day care center for children.
i was looking a her web site earlier.
she transformed her home into a day-care.. what i find strange is that jw's know that even young children will be destroyed at armageddon.

Simple it's a job. They're forced to put up with it.
